ANGKOR AND CARDAMOM ITINERARY

Itinerary

• Day 1: Arrival in Siem Reap – Welcome to Cambodia

  Arrive at Siem Reap International Airport, complete immigration procedures, and meet our representative at the exit gate. Transfer to your hotel in the city (approximately 60 minutes) for check-in from 14:00. Enjoy time to relax and freshen up. Overnight in Siem Reap.

• Day 2: Grand Circuit, Banteay Srei & CNN HERO (Meal: Breakfast, Dinner)

  After breakfast, explore the Grand Circuit temples, including Preah Khan and Neak Poan. Visit the Landmine Museum to learn about Aki Ra’s inspiring humanitarian work, followed by a stop at a local village producing palm sugar. Continue to the exquisite Banteay Srei Temple, renowned for its fine pink sandstone carvings and classical Khmer artistry. On the return journey, observe traditional handicrafts and rural life in Pradark Village. Enjoy dinner with a traditional Apsara Dance performance at a local restaurant. Overnight in Siem Reap.

• Day 3: Angkor Highlights & Sunrise at Angkor Wat (Breakfast)

  Start before dawn to watch the sunrise at Angkor Wat, then explore its stunning architecture and carvings. Visit Ta Prohm and hidden jungle temples, followed by the iconic faces of Bayon Temple. End the day with a sunset at Angkor Thom. Overnight in Siem Reap.

• Day 4: Elephant Sanctuary & Sunset Quad Bike Adventure (Breakfast, Lunch)

  Depart at 08:00 for Kulen Elephant Forest to learn about elephant conservation, meet the elephants, and observe them in their natural habitat. After a Khmer lunch, return to Siem Reap for an afternoon quad bike ride through rice fields and villages, ending with a beautiful countryside sunset. Overnight in Siem Reap.

• Day 5: Siem Reap – Phnom Penh (Breakfast)

  After breakfast, travel by private vehicle with an English-speaking guide from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh, enjoying views of rural Cambodian life along the way. En route, take a boat ride on Tonle Sap Lake to visit a floating village and experience a traditional water blessing at a local pagoda. Upon arrival in Phnom Penh, check in at your hotel and enjoy free time at leisure. Overnight in Phnom Penh.

• Day 6: Phnom Penh’s Past & Present (Breakfast)

  After breakfast, explore Phnom Penh by traditional cyclo, visiting key landmarks including Wat Phnom, the French Quarter, the Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda, National Museum, and Independence Monument. Browse the vibrant Central Market before gaining insight into Cambodia’s recent history at the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (S21). Conclude the day with a scenic sunset cruise along the Mekong and Tonle Sap Rivers. Overnight in Phnom Penh.

• Day 7: Phnom Penh – Cardamom (Breakfast, Dinner)

  After breakfast, journey from Phnom Penh to Trapeang Rung, then take a boat to Cardamom Tented Camp. Check into your safari tent and enjoy a guided jungle hike. Overnight in a tent.

• Day 8: Join Tour – Cardamom Exploration (Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

  After breakfast, join Wildlife Alliance rangers and an English-speaking guide for a half-day forest patrol along former poaching and logging trails. Look out for wildlife and visit the Ranger Station to see confiscated traps and hunting tools. Return to camp by kayak or hike, and stay overnight in a tent.

• Day 9: Cardamom – Phnom Penh (Breakfast)

  Enjoy breakfast at leisure, with an optional self-guided morning hike around the camp. Around 10:00, take a boat back to Trapeang Rung, then transfer by road to Phnom Penh. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and enjoy free time at leisure. Overnight in Phnom Penh.

• Day 10: Phnom Penh – Departure (Meal: Breakfast)

  Breakfast at the hotel. Our local driver (no guide) will transfer you to Phnom Penh International Airport for departure to the next destination. It’s time to say goodbye, we thank you for traveling with us and warmly welcome you to come again.
